Search Warrant Yields Good Find

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-A search warrant of a residents lands an Amory man and Aberdeen woman in jail.

On Monday the Monroe County Sheriff’s Department, K-9 Unit, and North Mississippi Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a home on South Harmony Road.

Authorities say they found a felony amount of marijuana, digital scales, plastic baggies, two handguns, and over $1,000 dollars in cash.

57 year-old Richard Phillips of Amory and 55 year-old Vicky Mitchell of Aberdeen were arrested.

Phillip is charged with Possession of Controlled Substance Marijuana with intent to sell and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Mitchell is charged with with Possession of Marijuana with intent to sell.

Bond is set for later.
