School, Sheriff’s Department Employee Arrested
NOXUBEE CO., Miss. (WCBI) – A Noxubee County School District and sheriff’s department employee is arrested on a drug charge.
Lowndes County jail records show 29-year-old Marcus Jamison is
charged with possession of cocaine.
Jamison was arrested at Noxubee County High School on Monday.
Superintendent Roger Liddell confirms Jamison is a teacher facilitator. No action has been taken on Jamison’s employment with the school.
Liddell says the district is cooperating with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics during the investigation.
Jamison was also a jailer for the Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department.
Sheriff Terry Grassaree says Jamison has been suspended but he could face other disciplinary actions.
MBN has not returned our request for comment on the investigation.
Jamison was released from the Lowndes County jail on a $5,000 dollar bond.
