Salvation Army Hosts Awards Lunch
STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – On Friday, the Salvation Army said ‘thank you’ to their volunteers.
The Salvation Army in Starkville hosted their awards luncheon for those who helped them raise money during the Christmas Red Kettle Campaign.
Overall, Starkville raised more than $50,000 dollars through the campaign.
Southwire hosted the lunch. They took the first place spot, raising more than $8,000 dollars.
“The company is a great company to work for. We go above and beyond helping the community and we just want to give back to the community by saying ‘thank you’ for helping out,” said Mona Harris, with Southwire.
Second place went to the Starkville Police Department, and third place went to the Starkville Fire Department.
