Rig overturns, blocks highway near Carrolton

PICKENS COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – An 18-wheeler has overturned on Highway 17 near Carrolton, Alabama.

Not many details are known at this time, but the driver was reportedly trapped for some time. Although injuries are not known, it’s believed the driver is outside of the flipped log truck now.

Traffic was redirected about a mile before the crash site.

Alabama Highway Patrol is now on scene.
