Video: Residents Show Support For Area Law Enforcement

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – In the wake of the tragic attack on Dallas police officers, residents across the country are reaching out to show support to law enforcement.

Several people stopped by the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department today.

Everything from food to notes of appreciation were given to deputies.

Lowndes County Sheriff Mike Arledge says the men and women wearing the badge are grateful.

“This morning we had several people come and drop off some things we had. One young lady come and drop off a card and some flowers, and they just want to show the support they have for us in law enforcement because of some of the things that happened recently, especially the Dallas incident,” said Arledge.

Five officers died in the sniper attack.
