Republican Committee To Host Meet And Greet

HOUSTON, Miss. (WCBI) – The Chickasaw County Republican Committee wants its voters to get to know potential candidates.

The committee will be hosting a meet and greet political rally today (Tuesday)  starting at 6 p.m. at the Houston Civic Center.

Voters are invited to come and enjoy food and drinks while mingling with congressional hopefuls.

Retired Circuit Court Judge Henry Lackey will emcee the event as well as provide the entertainment.

The special election to fill the District One Congressional seat is May 12. Thirteen people are seeking the seat left open by the Feb. 6 death of Alan Nunnelee. Of the 13, 12 have said they are Republicans.
