Reform, Ala. (WCBI) – Reform, Alabama is a step closer to seeing alcohol for sale on store shelves.
The results from last week’s election were certified Tuesday.
Less than five hundred of the town’s 16 hundred residents voted on the measure.
While no official study has been, many believe alcohol sales will increase sales tax numbers.
“Those revenues can be used for the, say the, improvement or improving the quality of life for the citizens of our community,” said Reform Mayor Bennie E. Harton.
The town council will meet next Tuesday to craft an alcohol sales ordinance.
