Recruit Hampton Chooses Ole Miss

MERIDIAN, Miss. (WCBI Sports) – A top football recruit reaffirmed his commitment to Ole Miss Friday.

CJ Hampton, of Meridian High School, will indeed be a Rebel. Hampton is rated as one of the top five high school safeties in the nation. He verbally committed to Ole Miss in June of 2012 but made things interesting by vising Alabama this football season.

He will enroll in school in January in Oxford.

Ole Miss also received a verbal commitment from four-start defensive lineman Garrald McDowell Friday. McDowell is from Louisiana.
