Record turnout for NEMCC job fair
BOONEVILLE, MISS. (WCBI) – Students at a community college and members of the public had the chance to meet with prospective employers at an annual spring job fair.
Northeast Mississippi Community College hosted the annual job fair. 75 companies had representatives at the job fair.
Professions including law enforcement, transportation, the military and other services were on hand.
The job fair gave people a chance to meet with a number of contacts all under one roof.
“Our students need them so they can get experience talking to companies and learning as they go, our graduates need them so they can secure career opportunities,” said NEMCC job fair organizer Carrie Cobb.
“I’ve actually got to meet a few people that I might have to come in contact with soon, I got to meet with Chick Fil A and Dirt Cheap, summer jobs to help me while I am in school,” said NEMCC student Victoria Brown.
More than 350 people attended the annual NEMCC Job Fair.
