Video: “Read Across America Day” In Aberdeen

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – “Read Across America Day” took center stage at Belle Elementary in Aberdeen on Monday.

Former New Orleans Saints and Itawamba Community College wide receiver Joe Horn read a book to students.

Cat in the Hat, along with Thing 1 and Thing 2 also grabbed a book to read.

Teachers decorated school hallways and classrooms to honor the Dr. Seuss books.

The National Education Association spearheads the annual event across the country.
