Rain Returns This Weekend
TODAY: Another sunny day across the area. Highs in the mid to upper 50s. Northwest winds at 5-10 mph. Overnight, clear and cold, with lows in the upper 20s.
FRIDAY: A bit cooler and a bit more cloudy Friday. Highs in the upper 40s and lower 50s. Overnight lows will drop to the upper 20s.
SATURDAY: Dry through the day with increasing clouds late in the afternoon and evening. Highs in the mid to upper 50s. Overnight, rain may begin as early as midnight, spreading from southwest to northeast. Lows in the low 40s. Rain chance 10%.
SUNDAY: Most of the rain holds off until Sunday. Highs around 60°. Just about everyone should see rain Sunday. Most rainfall totals in the 0.5″-1″ range, with some locally higher amounts. Overnight, Rain chances dwindle some, but some showers are likely to continue. Lows in the mid to upper 40s.
NEXT WEEK: Forecast confidence is quite low past Sunday, as model solutions diverge quite significantly into next week. The European model is much more progressive in moving disturbed weather to our east quickly and drying us out next week. The American and Canadian models keep rain lingering well into next week. Despite better model consensus on rain lingering behind with the Canadian and American models, I suspect the European model may have a slightly better handle on things, so the forecast into next week is a bit more heavily weighted towards the Euro solution. I keep a low end rain chance on the board, however, Monday and Tuesday. Temperatures remain above average for this time of year into the first half of next week.
