Rain Likely on Sunday, but Uncertain for Next Week
TONIGHT: Some of the clouds that hung around this afternoon will continue to clear out overnight. This will allow temperatures to drop back into the mid and upper 20s once again. Winds will remain light out of the south.
SATURDAY: We should see a mix of clouds and sunshine for the first half of your weekend. Temperatures will climb back into the upper 50s, bringing us closer to normal for mid December. Overnight clouds will begin to move in as the next system approaches.
SUNDAY: Sunday will likely be a pretty wet day. Most everyone should see between a half and one inch of rain. Areas to the south have a better chance at seeing higher rain totals. Temperatures will once again remain in the upper 50s.
MONDAY & TUESDAY: It looks like we will keep some moisture around for the beginning of the work week. Some models are suggesting significant rainfall Monday and Tuesday, but others are suggesting nothing. Right now we are going with a 30% chance of rain on Monday and a 50% chance of rain on Tuesday. It all depends on how fast the moisture gets swept off to our east. Either way, temperatures should climb into the mid 60s.
WEDNESDAY AND THURSDAY: As the rain slowly shifts eastward, we may hang on to a few showers Wednesday or Thursday, though these chances are less than earlier in the week. Temperatures will also cool off a bit with highs around 60.
FRIDAY AND BEYOND: Friday should warm up again before we see our next system next weekend. Most models are suggesting some unsettled weather that could impact some travel in the lead-up to Christmas. At this point its hard to tell whether we will be seeing more rain or snow, or nothing at all. Stay tuned to WCBI Weather on our website, Facebook and Twitter for the latest.
