Rain is on the way

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – After several days of dry and warm conditions, rain is finally going to be filling in and across NE MS. The chance for rain will linger lightly through the weekend too.

THURSDAY NIGHT: Slightly cooler tonight, temperatures will be ranging from the upper 40s to the upper 50s. Rain will be working its way across northern Mississippi through the rest of the night and into Friday.

FRIDAY: Rain showers continue especially in the morning! Temperatures are going to be cooler, thanks to the cold air behind Thursday’s front. High temperatures will be in the upper 50s to lower 60s. Light and scattered showers will likely continue throughout the evening. Anyone heading to high school football games may want to take towels and jackets in case it is still sprinkling. Overnight low temperatures will be in the lower 50s.

SATURDAY: Temperatures staying a little bit cooler. High temperatures will be continuing in the lower 60s. Rain chance will still be possible, much lighter though than Thursday night. Overnight temperatures will be cool again, staying in the lower 50s.
