Purr-fectly spooky: Twisted Whisker Cat Cafe celebrates Halloween in style
TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – Some residents at the area’s only cat cafe dressed up for Halloween.
There were cats in witch hats, pumpkin costumes, and dinosaur outfits at the Twisted Whisker Cat Cafe. The Tupelo business has been opened a little more than a year and Halloween Day was a great chance to try and convince some of the cats to dress up.
Admission was $5 throughout the day at the cat cafe, where cats are up for adoption.
Owner Marcie Fuller said while many visitors adopt a cute cat, the cat cafe is also a popular place for people to hang out and get to know the residents.
“The main purpose is to have a place to relax. A place where you can be here for a little while, take a load off, and pet these cats. And you’re doing a good thing when you do it because you are opening more spaces in shelters. And like I said, with Soda, every time you come here and socialize one of the cats, it makes it more likely they will get adopted in the future,” said Fuller.
The Twisted Whisker Cat Cafe is open Tuesdays through Saturdays from 11 a.m. until 7 p.m.
