Prentiss County Shooting Update

Booneville, Mississippi (WCBI) – Prentiss County deputies say a son shot his mother’s boyfriend this past weekend.

Jimmy Senter, 22, is charged with aggravated assault.

The shooting happened about 1 P.M. Sunday on County Road 8051, near Booneville.

Sheriff Randy Tolar says Senter and his father went to 45 year-old Tim Reed’s house County Road 8051 about 1 P.M. Sunday.

Reed was shot with a small caliber handgun after an argument. Tolar says Reed had a gun at some point during the fight.

Reed remains in serious condition at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
