Preliminary Work on Lowndes County Roads

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI-TV) – The Lowndes County road department will begin working on roads this summer, but site preparation is already underway.

Crews were on Martin and Old Wolfe Roads Wednesday, in Caledonia, doing some pre-leveling work.

The actual paving and patch work will start in July.

33 roads in the county are scheduled to receive some type of paving work this year.

Supervisors approved the road plan last month.
