Postponed Trial Date for DUI Death Case

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – The trail date for John Gillentine, 28, has been postponed until Aug. 4.

Gillentine was charged Aug. 1 for the death of Betty Montgomery. Montgomery was walking around her neighborhood when truck by the motor vehicle Gillentine was driving.

Gillentine’s lawyers stated they needed a later date because of not receiving evidence from the district attorney’s office until late March.
