Pontotoc High School Steps Up Police Presence Following Online Threat

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) – There’s an increased police presence around Pontotoc High School today, October 3, after a social media post referencing the Las Vegas massacre.

Police Chief Randy Tutor says a juvenile has been detained after the post.

Online there is a picture of someone wearing a mask, the SnapChat caption says quote “Las Vegas ain’t the biggest shooting. Just wait. everybody watch out at pontotoc.” end quote.

At this time, investigators do not believe there was an actual plan in place for a shooting incident.
