PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) – It was all cotton candy, rides and farm animals in Pontotoc Tuesday evening. The Pontotoc County Fair is in full swing at the Agri-Center.
“It has fun rides, what kind of rides are your favorite? The scary ones,” said young fair goer Drew Tutor.
The Ferris wheel might scare a couple of these youngsters, but parents are excited to give their kids the fair experience they had growing up.
“This has been around sine I was young, I’ve been coming here since I was a little kid and my parents brought me and I’m bringing my son to enjoy the same as I did,” said fair goer Jackie Tutor.
With 15 different rides to choose from and dozens of farm animals to pet, the fair remains a popular Pontotoc County tradition.
“Most people look forward, the children look forward to it, it’s a new date and time for us but we’re excited about being here and all the activities,” said Joe Wahitten, of the Fair Committee.
The rodeo is also a crowd pleaser.
“It’s fun, my son wants to do the bull riding but he’s too young so he has to ride the sheep,” said fair goer Trudy Roberson.
“It’s a lot of rides and a petting zoo and all stuff like that,” added fair goer Benjamin Bramlit.
And for just 20 dollars you can enjoy an endless amount of rides.
Wednesday night will be family night at the fair and will feature Chance Hill with Spurs Ministries.
