Police Make Arrest In Stolen Golf Equipment Case

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – Police arrest a Batesville teen accused of stealing sporting equipment.

On Sunday, Oxford Police responded to a call of an auto burglary.

The victim said that someone had stolen a golf bag with golf clubs and sunglasses in it.

At the same time, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department was working two similar burglary cases.

Both Oxford PD and LCSD were able to identify their suspect, 18-year-old Ethan Gatlin.

When they found him, he had the golf bag, the clubs, and the sunglasses that were reported stolen.

Gatlin was taken into custody and his bond was set at 10-thousand dollars.
