Police Identify Gunman In Nettleton Rampage

NETTLETON, Miss. (WCBI) — More details are emerging in the deadly shooting rampage which erupted Wednesday in downtown Nettleton.

State investigators now confirm 49 year old Otis Bass of Shannon is the man who opened fire killing two people before being shot to death by a Nettleton officer. Mississippi Bureau of Investigations spokesman Warren Strain says Bass shot his brother 44 year old Joseph Bass and 33 year old Jamie Guin of Mantachie to death. Otis Bass then opened fire on Nettleton officer Robert Davis, who returned fire fatally wounding Bass.
