Video: Police Department Holds Bike Giveaway

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – No one claimed them, so the Starkville Police Department is gifting some bicycles.

Dozens of people lined up outside the department Friday morning, hoping to be one of the lucky recipients of a bike.

They were unclaimed from cases the department has investigated. So officers spruced them up and offered them to the public for free.

There were a total of forty seven bikes of all sizes and for all ages.

The department gave them away on a first come, first served basis.
