One Critical After Pontotoc Crash

The Mississippi Highway Patrol is still investigating a two-vehicle crash in Pontotoc County. The Friday morning crash occurred at approximately 10:30 a.m. on State Route 6 and Beulah Grove Road.

It appeared a1979 Chevrolet Farm truck, operated by Guy Harrison, Jr., 67, of Pontotoc, was traveling east on Highway 6 when a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Parker C. Williams, 21, of Fairhope, Ala., collided into the rear of the farm truck.

Harrison was uninjured in the crash.

Williams was airlifted to NMMC with life-hreatening injuries. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

The accident is still under investigation.
