Pittsboro Man Hits Uncle with Shovel

PITTSBORO, Miss. (WCBI)-A Pittsboro man is charged with Aggravated Assault on a Vulnerable adult after hitting his Uncle with a shovel. 34 year-old Marty Clifton was arrested by Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department Sunday afternoon hours after the Saturday night incident took place at Clifton’s residence. Clifton allegedly struck his Uncle, David Sanders, who was living at Clifton’s home with a shovel in the head. Sanders was treated and released. Clifton’s bond is set at $30,000.
