Picking The Perfect Christmas Tree
Columbus,Miss.(WCBI)—The malls aren’t the only places getting a lot of holiday business this weekend.
The holiday tree buying rush is also underway. Y’all can come on and get your Christmas tree.
We get in this cart and they drive us out, pulled by the tractor out to where the saws are, pick up a saw and cut down the tree.
Five feet is the smallest tree that we have about eight feet is the largest we have. We plant them as a little seedling it. It takes four to five years for a tree to get seven feet tall. It’s just so much fun to see the families come out year after year we saw the little ones years ago and now we see them with their grand kids so its just lots of fun.
We’ve done this every Saturday after thanksgiving since 2004…kids were born in 2006 and 2008 and they’ve come every year.
It’s an important tradition to my wife Jenny. So we enjoy coming every year and cutting down the tree. They know its going to be fresh if they cut it down themselves and get it from a farm.
The biggest part of this is we are doing something fun together relationships and beginning to celebrate Christmas and as soon as Thanksgiving is over to do that
