PHILADELPHIA, Miss. (WCBI ) – A Philadelphia businessman wants to replace retiring State Senator Giles Ward.

Republican Mark Forsman made the announcement today.

He owns Yarbrough Wood Products.

Forsman calls himself a strong, Christian conservative.

The Republican Primary will be in August.

The District 18 Senate Senate seat covers Winston, Neshoba, and Leake Counties.
