Pedestrian Killed In Union County Identified

UNION COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Highway Patrol has identified the pedestrian killed in Union County early Sunday morning, April 1.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol says Patricia Pollard Welch died in the crash.

MHP Troop F Public Affairs Officer Master Sgt. Ray Hall says it Pollard was walking in the Eastbound lane of I-22 near Sherman around 2:30 Sunday morning when she was hit.

Pollard died on the scene while the driver of the Ford Transit van which hit her was not injured.
