Parchman Escapee Still At Large

Michael Dowda, convicted killer

PARCHMAN, Miss. (WCBI) – A convicted killer who broke out of Parchman over the weekend is still at large.

48 year old Michael Dowda was serving a life sentence for killing his girlfriend back in 1996.

The crime happened in Harrison County.

That’s down on the coast.

Saturday (9-22-12) afternoon, Dowda stole a white 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck and two handguns from a home on prison grounds.

Dowda stands 5’11” tall and weighs 195 pounds.

He has brown hair, brown eyes and a tattoo on the left side of his chest.

He is likely armed and very dangerous.
