Pair Of Shoes Leads To Jailhouse Blues For One Couple

LEE CO., Miss. (WCBI) – They said they were only bringing shoes to a friend in the jail. Now, they’re the ones looking at time behind bars.

39-year-old Chad Clark and 37-year-old Shawna Clark, both of Tishomingo, are charged with conspiracy to introduce contraband into a correctional facility.

On Friday, Lee County Sheriff’s Department detention officers intercepted a pair of shoes that was supposed to be delivered to an inmate in the Lee County Jail. That’s when they noticed the footwear had been altered.

After a further inspection, officers found drugs in the shoes.

Both Chad and Shawna Clark’s bonds were set at $2,500.00.
