Oxford Resident Among Amazing Nurse’s 2012

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – An Oxford native is in the running to be named America’s top nurse. Edwin Koen has cared for children at St. Jude patients for 19 years. He is known as “Mr. Starburst” for the fruity candies he hands out to patients to offset the metallic taste of certain medicines. To parents, he is also known as a tremendous beacon of support for their children battling cancer.
