Oxford Police Make Weekend Burglary Arrest

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – Catch, release, and catch again. Oxford police make an arrest the day after picking up a suspect.

Brandon Burton, 20, was arrested this weekend on 2 counts of Burglary.

Police stopped Burton and a juvenile Saturday, February 24, after a caller reported suspicious activity around Thacker Road.

No burglaries had been reported, so police released the two.

The next day however, reports started rolling in.

Police then arrested Burton and have returned some of the stolen items.

Bond is set at $20,000.
