Oxford Police Make Several Arrests
OXFORD, Miss. (PRESS RELEASE) – On April 8, 2016 Investigators of the Oxford Police Department charged Tracy Joiner (43 of Batesville, MS) with one count of Credit Card Fraud {97-19-21(2)(i)}.
Joiner was arrested after Investigators found him on video using a stolen debit card at a gas station. Joiner was booked and his bond was set at $5,000.00.
On April 7 2016, Smith County S.O. called and advised that they had pick up Trey Miller on an outstanding warrant for Aggravated Assault.
This was a result of an incident that happened in Oxford on March 5th at Hyatt Loop where Miller was inside another person’s home and an argument ensued. During the argument Miller pulled a gun, fired it inside the residence and fled the area. No one was hit by the bullet. A search was started immediately for Miller after the victim identified him. Bond was set by the Sheriff at $25,000.00
On April 8, 2016, Investigators of the Oxford Police Department arrested Geramy Drummer (19) of Rosedale, MS with Burglary of a Dwelling.
Drummer was arrested after officers responded to the Oxford Square Apartments for a burglary. Officers began doing a knock and talk with residents when they spoke to a group of individuals that were using narcotics in the living area of their apartment. Officers secured the residence and after a search all the stolen property from the reported burglary was recovered and eventually returned to the victim. Drummer was arrested on scene and was booked, his bond was set at $20,000.00.
