Oxford police make 3 arrests in investigation of dozens of car burglaries
OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – Oxford police made three arrests in the investigation of dozens of car burglaries.
Dewayne Pegues was charged with 32 counts of auto burglary.
Javonteze Johnson is facing 12 counts.
Demarcus Govan was charged with one count of auto burglary.
Investigators in the areas of Old Sardis, Anderson, and Anchorage Roads, along with Beanland Drive were hit by auto burglaries.
The investigations started in late May.
OPD said all of the break-ins appear to be unrelated but the investigation is ongoing.
All three men remain in jail after having their bonds revoked or having a hold placed on them by the Department of Corrections.
