Oxford Mother Admits To Strangling Son

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI)- In Oxford, a mother has admitted to strangling her son in the bathroom.

On Sunday, September 3, Shona Johnson was arrested for assault when officers responded to her home in the Laurel Cove neighborhood.

Upon arrival, two juveniles told officers that their mother had strangled her son.

Relatives were contacted to safely transport the children elsewhere and the victim did not require medical attention.

Johnson’s bond was set at $50,000.
