Oxford man killed by suspected drunk driver

OXFORD (WCBI) An Arkansas man is charged with DUI first offense after killing a pedestrian last night.  47 year old Andrew Brown was walking near Ricky Britt Boulevard when he was hit.   Oxford Fire department rescue crews and EMS workers unsuccessfully tried to revive Brown on scene.

21 year old Nicholas Welch of Little Rock Arkansas  was charged with DUI first after a blood sample was taken.  Oxford Police say the investigation remains open and upgraded charges are likely.
