Oxford High JROTC Rifle Team Hits Mark at Nationals

OXFORD, Miss. —The Oxford High School (OHS) Marine Corps JROTC Rifle team finished in 21st place out of 158 teams in the Marine Corps National Air Rifle Match, a national match hosting high school competitors from across the nation.

Out of the 1,547 national competitors, four OHS team members finished in the top 10 percent: Sophomore Dennis Canales in 42nd place; Junior Brianna Sims in 104th place; Senior Colton Davis in 121st place; and, Sophomore Harrison Davis in140th place.

The Marine Corps National Air Rifle Match ranking should qualify the OHS Marine Corps JROTC Rifle team to compete in the state championship in May.
