One Stabbed, One Arrested In Early Morning Altercation

TISHOMINGO CO., Miss. (WCBI) – An early morning assault leads to one person being stabbed, and one arrested.

Around 7:00 this morning, deputies with Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department were sent to an Iuka residence, where they discovered three people involved in an altercation.

One man was stabbed in the stomach.

The man stabbed had a 9mm pistol in his hand he fired towards the ground, causing shrapnel to strike another person.

Deputies arrested one suspect, and the person struck with shrapnel was taken to NMMC with non-life threatening injuries.

No word on the condition of the stabbing victim.

The Tishomingo Sheriff’s Department is expected to release more details later today.
