Video: One Injured in Labor Day Shooting in Lowndes County

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A shooting in Lowndes County leaves one injured.

Details are scarce, but Lowndes County Sheriff’s deputies were called to Airbase Texaco on Highway 45 around 7:00 P.M. Monday night for reports of shots fired and a possible victim.

When they arrived, they found one gunshot victim.

Dispatchers reported that a white pick-up, possibly a Dodge, that left the scene and reportedly headed North on Highway 45 may have been involved in the shooting.

The victim is believed to have non-life threatening injuries.
