One Dead In Saturday Morning Shooting

TPD PRESS RELEASE 

On June 11, 2016 at approximately 12:58 am Tupelo Police were dispatched to 1102 Wilson Street in reference to a shooting. Several people were on scene including he suspected shooter (adult male).

The suspect was detained and PD personal began CPR on the victim. Medical personnel arrived and rendered additional aid but unfortunately the victim (adult male) did not survive.

Preliminarily it appears that the suspect and the victim were related. The nature of that relationship is still being confirmed.

At this time it appears that no other suspects are being sought but anyone with information is encouraged to contact CrimeStoppers at 1-800-TIPS.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.
