One dead after crash involving 18-wheeler in Pickens County

PICKENS COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – At least one person has died following a two-vehicle crash involving an 18-wheeler in Pickens County.

The accident happened shortly before 10 o’clock Monday morning on Highway 82.

Pickens County sheriff Todd Hall confirmed to WCBI that one person died in the crash.

Both vehicles were in the westbound lanes and it appeared the car crashed into a truck from behind.

The Alabama Highway Patrol continued to investigate the accident.
