One Charged in Shooting at Agents

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — One of two men sought for opening fire on Lowndes County narcotics officers two weeks ago is in jail.

Desmond Young, 23, is charged with aggravated assault on a police officer. His bond is set at $100,000.

Investigators say they believe Young is one of two men who shot at agents on the night of Oct. 8 in the 2600 block of Fifth Avenue North as agents approached them in an undercover vehicle.
