Ole Miss Pitcher Nikhazy Arrested on DUI Charge

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Ole Miss sophomore pitcher/outfielder Doug Nikhazy was arrested on a DUI charge.

Reported by Nathanel Gabler of the Oxford Eagle, Nikhazy was booked on the DUI charge at 2:11 a.m. Monday morning.

He was was released hours later at 6:15 a.m.

Ole Miss releasing a statement, saying that they are aware of the situation and will be handling it “appropriately and internally.”

No official word on Nikhazy’s standing with the program.

During the rebels 2019 season, Nikhazy set a freshman record by finishing with 86 strikeouts.

Ole miss starts its 2020 slate, Friday February 14th against first-ranked Louisville in Oxford.
