Ole Miss Forward Terry Brutus to Miss 2013-2014 Season
OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Andy Kennedy’s front line has taken a big hit going into the 2013-2014 season.
Forward Terry Brutus has been ruled out for the season following a torn ACL, Ole Miss announced Tuesday. He played alongside graduated seniors Reginald Buckner and Murphy Holloway on the 2013 SEC Tournament Champions from last season.
Brutus, a 6-6 sophomore, played in 27 games last season and averaged 1.3 points and 1.7 rebounds in just over 9 minutes per game.
The sophomore from Massanutten Military Academy in Virginia began making significant contributions last season following the injuries to Demarco Cox and Aaron Jones, especially in SEC play.
Kennedy expects Cox and Jones to be ready for the start of this season. The two big men join freshmen Dwight Coleby and Sebastian Saiz on the front line for the Rebels in 2013-2014.
