Ole Miss football adjusts Sugar Bowl schedule
OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Amid growing COVID-19 concerns throughout college athletics, Ole Miss football announced that the team schedule was adjusted ahead of the Rebels match-up to Baylor in the Sugar Bowl.
In a statement from Ole Miss Athletics, bowl week practices will now begin in Oxford. The team’s arrival in New Orleans that was originally scheduled for December 26th will be delayed to later in the week. Those plans are still being finalized.
The Ole Miss medical staff continues to monitor any COVID-19 concerns related to the program.
The Sugar Bowl is scheduled to be played on January 1st, 2022.
