Update: Oktibbeha Co. Arrest Two Armed Robbery Suspects
OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (Press Release) – On 02/13/2015, at approximately 8:00pm, Deputies of the OCSD responded to East Lee Blvd, near the campus of Mississippi State University for a call of an Armed Robbery and Kidnapping. Following a short search involving Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Deputies and Police Officers from MSU and Starkville Police Department, Investigators arrested Shanquell Fairly, 20, and Marcus Keys, 19, both of Gulfport,MS, on charges of Armed Robbery and kidnapping. The victim of the kidnapping has been located and is unharmed. There were no injuries to either victim in the incident. Fairly and Keys remain in the Oktibbeha County Jail pending a bond hearing. Arraignment of both suspects is expected on Monday. The investigation into the incident continues. ORIGINAL WCBI STORY FROM FRIDAY NIGHT OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss (WCBI) — Less than two hours after an armed robbery was reported at the B-Quick on East Lee Boulevard on Friday evening, Oktibbeha County deputies arrested two suspects. Mississippi State University students received a Maroon Alert about 8:30 P.M. about the armed robbery at the store, just off campus. The alert also told students one of the robbers could be armed with a shotgun. Just before 10 P.M. another Maroon Alert stated two suspects had been arrested. No one was available for comment with the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Department late Friday night and no names have been released.
