Okolona Clerk Terminated

OKOLONA, Miss. (WCBI) — A municipal clerk in Okolona has been fired.

City Attorney Gene Barton confirmed this afternoon that the board of aldermen terminated Karen Jareck during a special meeting late lst week.

She’d worked for the city for about six years. Barton said he could not discuss details because it was a personnel matter, but sources tell WCBI the firing was in connection with supposedly mishandled city funds.
