OKOLONA, Miss.(WCBI)—A gas leak at Okolona Elementary brings an early Christmas gift to students and teachers, an extra day away from school.

Okolona Superintendent Dexter Green says classes are cancelled tomorrow at every school in the district.

Students, staff, and teachers should report back to school on January 3rd.

Green says a gas leak was discovered in the cafeteria after an odor was reported.

The leak is being fixed.
