Nurse Practitioner Freed From Macedonia Jail
SKOPJE, Macedonia (AP) – A Meridian nurse practitioner who serves on the OCH Regional staff is heading home after being convicted of violating Macedonia’s anti smuggling laws.
Candi Dunlap received a two year suspended sentence and is banned from Macedonia for ten years after a Macedonia judge ruled Dunlap tried to leave the country with more than 200 rare coins plus some pottery.
Dunlap maintains she was given the coins and other artifiacts by a Macedonian citisen while she was in the country as part of a mission team from a Merdian church.
