North Columbus residents asked to evacuate homes due to gas leak

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Scary moments today in downtown Columbus after a gas leak.

The incident shut down traffic in the 9th Street and 2nd Avenue North area for about an hour and a half.

Nearby residents were also asked to evacuate their homes until repairs were made.

No injuries were reported.
