SCOTT

Forty four year old Louis Winston Scott had his bond set at 2 million dollars during his initial appearance in Lee County Justice Court.
Scott is charged with one count of attempted kidnapping in Lee County.  Early Saturday morning, Scott is accused of using the flashing lights in his black Kia sedan, and pulling a female driver over near Birmingham Ridge Road.

She drove off when she saw Scott approach her car with a knife.  However,  a short time later, Scott is accused of stopping a female driver on I 22, forcing her into his car, and sexually assaulting her in another location, before releasing her at her vehicle.

Although bond was set,  a ruling from Circuit Court to deny bond for Scott will keep him behind bars.

Scott served 14 years in prison for similar crimes he committed back in 2000.  He was released several years ago, but was still on probation with the MDOC.  He faces three sexual assault charges and a kidnapping charge in Union County.
